Dirty Fences-Tommy & CC/ I’m Here 7”

Dirty Fences
Tommy & CC/ I’m Here 7”
Die Slaughterhouse Records
Street: 04.20.2016

From the New York punk rockers that brought you the rambunctious and wildly infectious hit “Judy (Don’t Go),” comes a sweet new 7” record perfect for best friends, lovers and heartaches alike. While the Tommy & CC/ I’m Here 7” does not profess the hi-energy action that I’ve become accustomed with from Dirty Fences, it is perfect for a sock hop and getting a little more than your feet wet. Listeners will quickly hear that this single boasts two solid tracks that invite rock n’ rollers to groove slow and intimate, with the idea of leaving little-to-no room for the invasiveness of the Holy Ghost. On the A side is Tommy & CC. This number is the heavier and slightly more upbeat of the two tracks. It stays in a mid-tempo and can invoke some moving about. In comparison, the B-sides “I’m Here” is that longing soulful number that requires lovers on the dancefloor to hold each other close enough to be hip to hip. The Tommy & CC/I’m Here 7” should therefor find a place next to your turntable for that special moment. So, be sure to dig this little record and give it a spin.
